Lieutenant Governor is the second ranking officer of the executive branch of Illinois and is the first elected official in the succession line for the Governor's office. The Lieutenant Governor works on initiatives that originate within her/his office, or on initiatives generated by the Governor. The Lieutenant Governor assists the Governor in the oversight of state agencies, and by serving on boards and commission throughout the state.
Application Guidelines1) Contact the Hawaii Office of Elections in order to confirm that your registered address qualifies you for the position you intend to run for and to confirm that you meet other office specific qualifications. Nomination papers are available online with more information at http://elections.hawaii.gov/candidates/candidate-filing/. 2) Complete the nomination papers including the signature requirements.The amount of signatures required varies between 15 and 25 by office. Additionally, there is an office specific filing fee. Filing fees can be reduced with a form known as an Affidavit of Compliance with Voluntary Campaign Spending Limits.
